Recreational Soccer Overview

 

The Clinton recreational program is intended to promote youth soccer though participation, player development, friendship, and fun. Players participating in two practice a week and weekend games through out the season. Players recieve at least 50% playing time durring games. Our goal is to develop players so they will enjoy soccer and be successful at it. 

 

U6 Format:

3V3 (no goal keeper)

Teams will be formed in players of 4-6 and train once per week with a volunteer coach for half an hour. Since the club does not provide refs for any U6 games the coaches will take on that task. It is up to the coaches on how they want to divide the reffing time. Games will be played on Thursday evenings in the fall and Firday evenings in the spring.

 

U8 Format:

4V4 (no goal keeper)

Teams will be formed in players of 5-7 and train twice a week with a volunteer coach for no more then two hours a week. Teams will have both home and away games.

 

U10 Format:

6V6 (no offsides)

Teams will be formed in players of 8-10 and will train twice a week with a volunteer coach for no more then two hours a week. Teams will have both home and away games.

 

U12 Format:

8V8

Teams will be formed in players of 10-12 and will train twice a week with a volunteer coach for no more then two hours a week. Teams will have both home and away games. Since these games are not considered Academy or Competitive the use of line refs is not required.
